About A Mano Eatery

Angelo Mantini grew up in a large family in which food played an integral role in everyday life. His paternal grandmother was of Polish descent and introduced him to an array of ethnic cuisines. This fostered Angelo’s lasting passion for food. In his teens, he spent several successive summers working in all capacities at his Aunt and Uncle’s upmarket restaurant Panino in Washington D.C. Upon graduation from high school, Angelo attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Thereafter, he returned to Washington D.C. and gained further culinary experience with Chef Louis Patierno.

In the spring of 2009, Angelo visited the Le Marche region of Italy where he continued to enrich his talents by learning the art of pasta making. What was originally intended to be a three month stay with relatives soon developed into a three year residency. Whilst in Italy, Angelo honed his skills in all facets of traditional Italian cuisine at the Agriturismo Casa Martalletto.

In 2013, Angelo returned to his native Ford City where he opened A Mano Pasta Shop. His authentic pastas and remarkable epicurean style have proven a sensation and have garnered a loyal, yet discerning, clientele.
